ABOUT US

STACIE

My name is Stacie. I have been married for 21 years and together we have four children. Our oldest son is 19, my daughter is 17 followed by two brothers, ages 15 and 12. I mostly spend time enjoying my children's activities and friends. They keep me busy.

As a student at the University of Utah I am double majoring in Anthropology and Human Development and Family Studies. I plan to be certified as a Family Life Specialist. When my children are past the teen-stage I would like to apply to Law School. I am currently involved at the University of Utah with the National Society of Leadership and Success, Mortar Board, and doing Undergraduate Research through the Honors College and the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. In my spare time I enjoy writing, reading, camping, fishing, and pretty much anything to do with my family. Writing for this blog is important to me because I witness firsthand the negative influence of too much technology and multitasking in todays families and specifically interference with relationships and interpersonal communications.

JOHNATHAN

My name is Jonathan. I am soon graduating with a degree in human development and family studies from the University of Utah. I am working on a certification to become a Family Life Educator.

I love spending time with my wife. I enjoy camping and the outdoors and I often go camping as much as I can during the year. I decided to go into Family Life Education after I looked into my wife's degree of early childhood education. I want to help people have strong families. I may go on to get a masters degree in marriage and family therapy or in social work.

ALLISON

I enjoy spending time with family, going to the beach, or camping, and bowling with friends. I love to watch movies, and cuddle with my dog, Bentley.  My favorite thing to do is to play with my kids!
